“ Made a reservation here for dinner and it was a great pick. Small and cozy spot, perfect for a chill night out. I’d definitely recommend booking ahead to make sure you gets spot. Tried the appetizers and chicken—everything was fresh, well-cooked, and had that authentic Greek flavor. The dips came with warm, soft pita and were packed with flavor. The grilled chicken was juicy and had great flavour too. The dishes are on the pricier side, and portions could be better but the quality and presentation match up. Service was great as well. Definitely a solid place to go if you’re craving Greek food in Ottawa. ”

“ This is a late review, we have been to this place on December 2024. Foods were delicious but portions were not enough. They served Ouzo with Whiskey glasses and don’t know the way of serving. We will try again, deserve second chance. ”

“ Food and drinks were delicious. I made reservations for the patio but it turned out to be cold and windy, I asked to switch to inside and it was not possible. That and the feeling of being rushed out made the experience unpleasant but I will return to give it another chance :) I loved my meal! This restaurant should be much bigger, this is the kind of place you could spend 1hr or more just eating and chilling but not given the chance since they need you to leave. ”

“ We recently visited EVOO for dinner while in Ottawa for the Tulip Festival, what a great choice, very attentive staff, looked after our entire group of 10. Great service and absolutely amazing food cooked perfectly and flavourful. We had the Trio Spread, Greek Salad, Garlic Shrimp, Australian Lamb Chops, Lemon Potatoes and Moussaka that was better than any we have ever had, better than any had in Greece !! The owner Elias even came by to check up on us and we had a great conversation with him. I highly recommend EVOO if you are looking for an authentic Greek restaurant !! ”

“ We came from Toronto to Ottawa for a business meeting and were recommended to check this place out. As we were sitting down I saw the table next to us with a fish platter. We were hungry so we decided to get the fish platter for 4 people (it’s fish so no guilt right). When it came it looked delicious and I’m not sure if I was really hungry but it seemed a bit small. I could have eaten the whole platter myself. It was very tasty and seasoned well but it didn’t come with any bread or sides. Overall, we had a great dinner and we just found it a bit pricey for what we got. If anyone goes here you may need a few sides to fill up properly. ”

That said, if you’re Greek — or just back from Greece — you’ll want to manage expectations. It’s good, very good by Canadian standards, but the ingredients simply can’t compete with what you’ll find at a seaside taverna on a Greek island. That’s not on them — that’s just geography. One caveat? Parking. Little Italy is a lovely stroll once you’re out of the car, but getting that spot is a small battle. Plan ahead, or make peace with a walk.
